Artist, DJ, Producer, and purveyor of beloved, critically acclaimed house music.

Having crafted his own signature of contemporary underground music, Laurence Guy has enjoyed notable commercial success - over 60 million streams and counting - and amassed a collection of loyal listeners and tastemakers, all of whom are united in an appreciation for his outstanding production abilities and talents as a DJ and producer.

Emerging, like many young UK artists, from the grassroots of genres such as D’n’B, Dubstep, and Future Garage, and formed by his experiences at some of the UK’s great clubbing institutions like Cable, Fabric, and Herba, Laurence has always been keen to explore his own personal artistic vision. Delving into different musical routes and exploring the layering of original compositions over samples and loops has kept Laurence at the forefront of a scene where trends can change quickly and leave others behind.

The first, complete culmination of his artistry came in the form of his critically acclaimed debut album, 2017’s Saw You For The First Time, which followed a string of acclaimed EPs and projected his name to new heights. The release was lauded by many beloved selectors and figureheads, most notably by esteemed producer and DJ, Move D, whose enduring support of Laurence’s releases provides an assured stamp of approval. Never one to stand still, Laurence followed this success with the All I See Is Her EP, and a standout debut mini-album for Sweden’s finest Studio Barnhus, which was every part the mature and seasoned follow-up all had been hoping for. His acclaimed solo projects have been released through various renowned labels such as Ninja Tune, Shall Not Fade, and Late Night Tales, and has remixing credits for Dermot Kennedy, Sofia Kourtesis, Session Victim and Leisure.

Most recently, Laurence has ventured in a bold, new creative direction with Living Like There’s No Tomorrow, But Killing Yourself In The Process. His first record for his own edits label, Accidental Pieces, it features numerous tracks featuring guest vocalists and showcases the newfound variety and depth of Laurence’s creative process. The artfully crafted record plays with the push and pull between hedonism, the fog of the morning after, and themes of universality and timelessness. Musically eclectic, it’s also one of his most diverse recordings, and perfectly illustrates his skills as a composer, producer, and artist.

A restless digger, Laurence can be found rummaging through the dusty crates of his local charity shops looking for samples to expand his sound palate, some of which have made their way onto Accidental Pieces. With such an active pursuit of music both old and new, Laurence has established himself as an admired selector, holding down a residency on London’s storied Rinse FM station while playing globally at some of the world’s most iconic dancefloors from London's Printworks and Southbank Centre, Glastonbury, and Lost Village Festival through Paris’ iconic L'Olymipia and sold out shows at the very venue in which he cut his raver teeth - Fabric. He continues to develop himself as a live artist, both solo and as part of the Circle Of Live family, while touring all over Europe, Australia, and South America alongside some of the most revered live acts in the world.

Laurence’s willingness to probe new styles and inspect unfamiliar spaces is part of what has led to him becoming one of the UK’s finest musical exports. From being one of the most promising talents in the scene, he has now become an established, prominent artist in contemporary house, whose distinctive artistry has led to worldwide acclaim and demand.
